            Bellary  District has a large number of places to visit. At Hospet , there is the Tungabhadra dam. Hampi, the seat of Vijayanagara empire is in this district. There are many other places of interest in Bellary.

Tungabhadra Dam: This Dam is 162 ft high and commands a panoramic view of the area.

Hampi: The famous Hampi ruins is located in a small village, Kamalapuram, on the southern bank of Tungabhadra in Hospet taluk.  The ruins include the Hazara Rama temple, Zanana enclosure, King's  palace enclosure and the Queen's bath. The remains of a stone aqueduct supplying water to the  citadel and the Dasara Dibba are also worth seeing.  The Stone chariot of Vittal temple, Lotus Mahal, Jhubbara Ugra Narasimha temple, Hazara Ramaswamy temple etc., also calls for time and attention from tourists.
